Over nine and a half years of experience in academia, research, extension and industry have been accumulated by Dr. Vinayak B. Shinde. He earned a JISL Doctoral Fellowship from Jain Irrigation Systems Pvt. Ltd., Jalgaon, Maharashtra, for his Ph.D. research and Junagadh Agricultural University, Gujarat, India awarded Ph.D. in Horticulture in August-2017. He has won renowned awards for outstanding work in education, agricultural research and extension from two international, eleven national and twelve state levels. The Prime Minister of India and the Chief Minister of Maharashtra State had honoured him for his efficient use of social media in agricultural extension activities. His prior employment included D. Y. Patil Agriculture College, Talsande, Kolhapur; Dadasaheb Patil College of Agriculture, Dahegaon, Aurangabad; Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil College of Agriculture, Vilad Ghat, Ahmednagar; Mahatama Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri, Ahmednagar and Sant Kabir Properties, Pune.
He has authored two books, eight book chapters and published seventeen research and review papers in reputable national and international journals and over two hundred popular articles in various periodicals. In addition, he attended two international and twenty-one national symposiums, workshops, trainings, etc.. He planned twenty-four workshops and training sessions for farmers, agricultural staff and students. He has lifetime memberships of six professional societies and editorial committee’s member of three marathi agricultural magazines. Additionally serving as the European Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship (ECIE) committee member for Portugal, as well as secretary and technical adviser for Residue Free Organic Movement of India Federation (ROMIF), India.
In addition to serving as Subject Expert for the Agrostar, Postall.in and Krushik mobile apps, he is the Founder- President of the KrushiSamarpan Foundation (NGO). He was employed by the B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture programme in the READY & RAWE programme as a Programme Officer (PO), Subject Matter Specialist (SMS) and Module In-charge. He has performed admirably in his role as a resource person for the YCMOU, Nashik, Agriculture Foundation course, the Certificate Course (Farmer Producer Company) and the Diploma in Agricultural Extension Services for Input Dealers (DAESI). He is a member of the Board of Studies (BoS), Chief Counsellor and Exam Coordinator in Faculty of Agricultural Engineering, School of Engineering and Technology, D. Y. Patil Agriculture and Technical University, Talsande, Kolhapur. Also performing as a Senior Supervisor for the End Semester Examination (ESE) and Mid Semester Examination (MSE) of the D. Y. Patil Agriculture and Technical University, Talsande, Kolhapur. In past, he served as the acting principal, member of war room for the online semester-ending examinations, as chairman of the discipline committee and as a member of the internal examination squad of private agriculture colleges.
