To impart higher education in agriculture in order to provide opportunities and jobs to rural youth, D. Y. Patil Educational Society has established the School of Agriculture science in the year 2021 under D. Y. Patil Agricultural and Technical University. Our School of Agriculture science offered UG programme i.e. B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture.
B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture is a degree course in the field of agriculture that involves the study of various scientific, professional and technical subjects related to agronomy, horticulture, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Plant Pathology, Entomology, farm management, animal husbandry management, soil science, social science etc. This course aims to provide training to implement a modern and effective ways of agriculture and agriculture technologies in order to improve overall crop productivity.
The faculties of School of Agriculture Science are highly qualified and experienced. Our faculty team includes outstanding researchers and educators from the academic and industrial sectors. Interactions with industrial executives from the different agriculture industry allowing you to benefit from experience gained in leading positions around the world and also impart professional knowledge to grow individually.

Courses offered: UG Course – B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture

The course duration of B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture is 4 years and it is divided into 8 semesters (2 semesters per year).

I year – Basic and fundamental courses (Traditional)
II Year – Principles (Technology)
III Year – Production system (For improving Talent)
IV Year – Skill and entrepreneurship development (For federating Trading)

After completion of B.Sc. Agriculture students can take admission in PG courses like master in agricultural sciences through various agriculture entrance exams (ICAR, MCEAR and several others), MBA/ABM/PGDM. Also can join government and banking sector by appearing competitive exams such UPSC, MPSC, FCI, IBPS and other government jobs. Candidate with BSc Agriculture degree can opt to become entrepreneur by applying knowledge he/she gain during 4 year degree programme.

1. 12th std. (Science) passed in 10-12 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent Examination, with PCB or PCMB or PCM or Inter (Agriculture) and passed with English
2. Those who have not offered Biology or Mathematics shall have to complete deficiency courses as prescribed by respective university
3. Common Entrance Examination i.e. MHT-CET/JEE/NEET/AIEEA-UG organized by competent authority in PCB or PCM subject.
