B. Tech Food Technology programme is a Four-Year undergraduate degree programme after 10+2 level of education with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Maths.
B. Tech Food Technology course curriculum fully industry-oriented and designed by industry and Academic experts. The Final Year Semester VII fully devoted for Major research project and the Experimental learning program Semester VIII implant training. Food Technology is a branch of food science which deals with the Selection, Processing, Preservation, Packaging, Distribution, Quality control, Quality Assurance and Research and Development of the food products in the Food Processing Industry. Food Technology is a broad discipline that contains within it many specializations such as in Food Chemistry, Food Microbiology, Food Processing & Preservation, Food Packaging & Labelling, Food Additives & Contaminants Food Quality & Safety Management Food Engineering and Food Business & Management. Food Engineering contains many of the same elements as chemical and mechanical engineering.
After completing of the B. Tech Food Technology Course candidates will get placed in the various Food Processing Industries or they can become Entrepreneur by initiating start-ups, Food Technology is rapidly emerging as a vital field of study that focuses on creating innovations in New Product development & advancements in Food processing, Food Engineering, Food Product Manufacturing and Food related Supply chain management & Marketing. In addition, with value-added courses such as the English Language, Soft skill development, Foreign Language i.e. (German. French. Russian), Research Methodology, Professional Ethics will help to students their holistic development

B. Tech Food Technology

I. Passed 10+2 examination with Physics/Chemistry/ Biology / Mathematics Computer Science/Electronics/Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/Entrepreneurship. (Any of the three) Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.
OR
II. Passed min. 3 years Diploma examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
Direct Second Year B. Tech Food Technology
I. Passed minimum three years or two years (Lateral Entry) Diploma Course in Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of Candidates of Backward Class categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability category belonging to Maharashtra State) in any branch of Engineering and Technology from an All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved Institution or its equivalent.
OR
II. Passed B.Sc. Degree from a University Grants Commission (UGC) or Association of Indian Universities recognized University with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates of Backward Class categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability category belonging to Maharashtra State) and passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Mathematics as a subject.
